2018-03-24 Nowruz Party

We have been invited to sing at a Nowruz celebration run by Australian Supporters of Democracy in Iran. It starts at 6:30pm on Saturday the 24th of March 2018 at 345 Edgecliff Road, Edgecliff. There might be a small band of their own singers we could possibly collaborate with.

To support the International campaign to free all who have been detained since December 2017 in Iran’s uprising and the abolishment of Death Penalty in Iran

Dear Friends,

Please join us on Saturday the 24th of March 2018 to celebrate the Persian New Year, “Nowruz”. The Nowruz festivities traditionally begin on March the 21st, the Spring Equinox. According to the UN website, Nowruz is a holiday which promotes the values of peace and solidarity between generations, and within families. It also encourages cultural diversity and friendship among different people and communities. This festival has been observed for more than 3,000 years.

A Persian dinner will be served

Where:       At the home of Yola Lucire and Bruce Childs, 345 Edgecliff Road, Edgecliff

Speakers:    Mr Antonio Stango, President of Italian Federation for Human Rights
