‘Sing Welcome’ is a free singing workshop designed to bring the community together. Refugees, humanitarian entrants, people seeking asylum and anyone wishing to support these communities are invited to sing together in peace and (four part!) harmony. We will learn songs in English and community languages before performing them in a pop-up choir on the streets of the Inner West in Sydney. All ages welcome.
Workshop: Saturday 23 June, 1-4pm in the Pratten Park Community Sports and Bowling Club, 42 Arthur St Ashfield. We will start by learning some songs, then we will form a pop-up choir on the streets from 4-5pm. The exact location of the pop-up performances will be determined on the day.
